CONVERSE FIRST STRING: JOHNNY WELD – SATURDAY (5/21) RELEASE:

“Equal parts refined and rebellious, the Converse Jack Purcell sneaker is inspired by the man behind the iconic smile. In 1935, world-famous badminton champion and tennis pro Jack Purcell helped design his innovative and durable performance court shoe with the iconic smile on the toecap. The Jack Purcell Johnny sneaker, named after the man himself, offers a traditional take on the classic Purcell style. Debuting in the 1930s as one of the original Jack Purcell silhouettes, the Johnny sneaker features exposed shank detailing on the outsole of the shoe. Pushing the classic-yet-mischievous lines that define Jack Purcell, the new Johnny Weld sneaker features Bemis weld detailing, a technique commonly used to seam-seal waterproof outerwear and outdoor tents. Applied here, it reinterprets the reissued silhouette for a modern take on the original. Draft day Hornets colorway for the Kobe VI. Oddly enough, I’ve been balling in the draft day V’s recently. This is a great colorway, and to top it off, the blue flywire underneath the white upper looks like veins. Fun!

VANS VAULT – AUTHENTIC DECON LX:

I can safely say that this might be the nicest leather you’ve ever slid your foot into. A very supple, beautiful calfskin upper in a gorgeous dress blue. I love it when leather wrinkles like this because it adds so much character to the shoe.

We were able to secure a likkle re-up on the blue and orange “Aloha” Era LX, and best of all, in smaller mens sizes for THE LADIES! Mahaloatachaboy! This re-up will not be in stock long because there has been customers waiting for this shipment for a couple of weeks now. One of the best shoes of this first half of 2011. Hands down.
